I was sent a notice of a recall regarding a fuel pump, power control module that needs to be taken care of, but it is not being accepted under my VIN number. I believe that there is this issue with my vehicle or something similar because every day I start the vehicle up for the first time and drive it. It is jerking me and does not have proper fuel or proper pressure to move the vehicle without jerking me. After 10 to 15 minutes it cleans up and drives better but then again we’ll redo it if I sit still for multiple hours and restart the vehicle again late in the afternoon it will do it all over.

My 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country with the 6.2L L87 engine suffered a sudden catastrophic engine failure after passing the inspection for Recall 25V274 at approximately 70,000 miles and being returned to service. While I was pulling into my driveway, the engine abruptly shut off as though the ignition had been turned off. It would crank but would not restart. The sudden loss of propulsion while the vehicle was moving created a safety concern; a similar shutdown in traffic could cause a crash. The Chevrolet dealership disassembled the engine and documented multiple lifters stuck in their bores, requiring excessive force to remove, and deep cylinder-wall scoring that could catch a fingernail. The dealer determined that the block damage required complete engine replacement and replaced the engine. The dealer attributed the failure to lack of oil or improper maintenance and denied recall-related coverage, stating that the failure involved the upper engine rather than the crankshaft or connecting-rod bearings covered by the recall. I strongly dispute the poor-maintenance conclusion. Oil changes were performed regularly. The dealer told me the oil was somewhat low but still within the operating range when the truck arrived after the failure. I ask NHTSA to review this sudden engine failure following completion of Recall 25V274 and whether the recall inspection/remedy adequately addresses the risk of subsequent engine failure. I am not asserting that a particular manufacturing defect caused this failure; the underlying cause remains disputed. Availability of the failed engine for further inspection is unknown.

We were sold a 2022 ZR2 1500 Chevy pickup on 8/14/2026. The dealer disclosed "unknown" on the used car buyer disclosure form. By admission of service department this truck's engine seized in March 2026. A replacement engine was ordered, placed on back order, and arrived to the dealership in August 2026. The service department believed that the repair was done and finished on 8/14/2026, the same date as the purchase. On 8/30/2026, the truck was not running properly, not moving forward despite pressing on the gas, and lots of instrument panel lights. The truck was towed to the dealership and "fixed" They claim it was a fuel injector and separate from the issue regarding the engine.

Power button will turn power on or off but won't crank engine. 4 ways flash for awhile with dash flashing then everything go blank. All electric power is lost for awhile and then dash starts flashing and 4 ways start flashing for awhile. This cycle keeps repeating. Truck has to be loaded on a truck to tow away. The vehicle intermittently experiences transmission or drivetrain slipping, shuddering or juddering, and shaking while being driven. The symptoms are inconsistent and there is currently no check-engine warning light. The problem has not yet been diagnosed or confirmed by a dealer. I am concerned that the condition could worsen and cause loss of propulsion, unexpected shifting, or loss of control. The vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine and is within the model family described in NHTSA recall 24V-797 involving transmission control valve wear. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request.

There was an abnormally loud thumping sound coming from the engine compartment while accelerating. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission fluid needed to be flushed and refilled. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, and an oil leak was found. The contact was informed that a software update was needed, and that several unknown parts in the engine and a wiring harness and oil cooler needed to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

Was driving at highway speeds when truck shuttered and rattled and quickly slowing down. Warning errors on dash stated "Reduced Acceleration, Drive with Care", "Service Emissions System", "Service Traction Control", "Service ESC". Got vehicle to dealer and they confirmed the error code (P0202 - covered under powertrain warranty), but then also noted an error code for P129F where the truck would not start up. They are recommending a replacement of the Fuel Pump Power Control Module. GM had updated a NHTSA bulletin (original: N262558690 - Emissions Recall - Fuel Pump Power Control Module - July 15, 2026) on August 12, 2026 that expanded the population of qualified models to include the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. However, on September 1 they issued an updated notice that said "GM has since identified certain 2022-2023 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles that were erroneously included in this recall and are not affected by the condition." I believe my truck was originally included in the recall, was removed two weeks ago, and now my dealer has subsequently diagnosed a Fuel Pump Power Control Module failure with DTC P129F and recommended replacement This all follows a warranty repair I had to get two weeks ago on my Engine Coolant Control Valve (P1098), which was covered under powertrain warranty

Well when my kids and I are going down the road and the transmittion randomly starts up shifting or down shifting and whenit goes out its gonn lock up probably where fever we are. as for the starting thing when its cold its isnt the ideal to have to go build a fire in the garage just to get my truck to start during an emergency. I have had a garage hook it up to a computer to see if it was throwing any codes. It wasn't except a brake sensor. I bought this truck 2 years ago and have nothing but trouble with it shifting and and the dash always says shift to park. this is one of the worst Chevrolet trucks i have ever bought. it only has around 70000 miles on it. I had the truck about 3 month when the transmittion issue started. It has never started when it was cold out side the whole time I have owned igt.

I recently took my vehicle in for maintenance work on my transmission. I was informed that my vehicle was showing code P0747 which was under a special coverage warranty by GM. I then took my vehicle to our local GM dealership and was told that my vehicle does not qualify for the special coverage warranty N242454441 because my VIN number was not attached to the parts and the best I could do was contact GM. I reached out to GM to see if I could get a clearer understanding and my claim was denied. I spoke with a very helpful lady that informed me she would have their area technician reach out to me to see what could be done. After a few voicemails he did return my call to let me know GM would not be helping with reimbursement because the VIN was not attached to the part numbers. He ended with telling me that parts wear out and there was no proof that our 2022 Chevrolet Diesel Silverado 1500 was included in the special coverage warranty. I am reaching out because this is the second time we have had issues with trying to get recalls/warranties covered by Chevrolet and not been successful. I am currently looking at GM's special coverage N242454441 - This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 15 years or 150,000 miles (240,000km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. Vehicle owners or lessees who paid for repairs referenced in this Special Coverage (“Customers”) are eligible for reimbursement of their reasonable and customary expenses in accordance with the procedures specified below. The conditional right to reimbursement is provided by GM solely in the interest of customer satisfaction and is personal to Customers. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer. Please explain to me why my vehicle is showing this code and once again I am being told I will get no help from Chevrolet? This is a problem and I feel that we fall under this warranty.

I experienced a crankshaft bearing failure while driving my 6.2L V8 Chevrolet Silverado on the highway / freeway. Thankfully I was able to exit highway / freeway to avoid a car collision due to loss of power. My truck was towed to a certified Chevy dealer. This is a known issue for 2019-2026 6.2L V8 L87 engines. The truck was previously inspected by a certified Chevy dealer for prior L87 engine recall. It passed and they changed the oil type to 0w-40. Prior to this event, my truck was at the dealer for a low oil pressure issue / oil pan replacement. I picked it up from the dealer after the vehicle was repaired and drove it for about three days and then experienced the crankshaft bearing failure. No warning lamps illuminated prior to failure. My truck is currently at the dealer waiting for a new engine.

Incident Description:While driving my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado at highway speeds, the front passenger-side bumper outer filler panel (fascia molding) completely detached from the vehicle without warning and flew off into active traffic. The factory plastic mounting clips and tabs failed entirely under normal driving conditions. Because the panel flew directly into the path of trailing vehicles, this defect creates an immediate and severe road hazard that could easily cause a multi-vehicle accident or serious injury. This is a known engineering and structural defect shared across this vehicle platform, yet no safety recall has been issued for the Chevrolet Silverado to protect the public.

NHTSA VEHICLE SAFETY COMPLAINT Vehicle: 2022 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 Trail Boss Engine: 6.2L V8 VIN: [XXX] Selling Dealer: Harris Hankins Chevrolet, Bay Springs, Mississippi I purchased this 2022 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 Trail Boss from Harris Hankins Chevrolet in Bay Springs, Mississippi. The truck is equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine and has experienced repeated and serious engine failures. The vehicle is currently operating on its third engine. The original factory-installed engine suffered a major engine failure at approximately 27,000 miles. The vehicle was taken to a Chevrolet dealership, where the original engine was replaced. The second engine failed within approximately 30 miles of leaving the dealership following the first engine replacement. This failure resulted in the vehicle requiring another engine replacement. The truck is now operating with its third engine. I have periodically noticed abnormal valvetrain noise coming from this third engine. Considering that the first two engines experienced major failures, I am very concerned that this abnormal valvetrain noise may indicate another developing engine problem or potential engine failure. This 2022 Chevrolet Silverado has therefore experienced two major engine failures at very low mileage and is now on its third engine, which is periodically exhibiting abnormal valvetrain noise. I believe these repeated engine failures represent a serious vehicle safety concern. A sudden engine failure or loss of propulsion while traveling at highway speeds or in traffic could create a dangerous situation for the driver, passengers, and other motorists. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) formally document my vehicle’s history and investigate these repeated failures involving the Chevrolet/GM 6.2L V8 engine. The dealership has the service records and repair documentation concerning the previous engine failures and engine replacements.
