The defect: CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR, MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION, MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.
The risk: RELEASE OF COOLANT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD IGNITE AND RESULT IN A FIRE.
The remedy: FLEETWOOD WILL BE WORKING WITH DOMETIC IN ORDER TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 06E076). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST YOU IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. THE RUBBER GASOLINE FUEL LINE THAT CONNECTS THE ONBOARD GENERATOR TO THE MAIN FUEL TANK CRACKED AND LEAKS GASOLINE ONTO AND BENEATH THE VEHICLE. THE LEAKED GASOLINE MAY NOT BE DETECTED AND MAY POSE A RISK OF A VEHICLE FIRE IF IGNITED FROM EXPOSURE TO FLAME, SPARKS, HOT SURFACES, ETC. THE PART OF THE HOSE OVER THE TANK IS INACCESSIBLE AND CANNOT BE EASILY CHANGED. *TR

CONSUMER WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPLACING DEFECTIVE REFRIGERATOR BY DOMETIC. CONSUMER STATES HE HAD THE REFRIGERATOR REPLACED BEFORE THE RECALL WAS RECEIVED AND WANTS TO BE REIMBURSED. **NAR**KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE REFRGERTOR STOPPED COOLING AND THERE WAS A STRONG AMMONIA ODOR. WHEN THE CONSUMER REMOVED THE EXTERNAL PANEL, HE DISCOVERED A CRACK IN THE COOLING COIL. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE COIL HAD SPLIT OPEN AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND THAT A NEW COOLING UNIT WOULD NEED TO BE PURCHASED. *JB

3-4 INCHES OF PLAY IN THE WHEEL IS TOO MUCH. IN A WINDY SITUATION YOU MUST TURN THE WHEEL THAT FAR TO COUNTESTEER AND BY THAT TIME YOU HAVE NEARLY CHANGED LANES. FORD HAS REPLACED THE STEERING GEAR BOX AND TELLS ME THAT IST IS WITHIN SPECS.
