The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Flagstaff and 2022-2023 Rockwood tent campers. The axle may be installed backwards, which can reduce brake function.
The risk: A loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and properly install the axle if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 24, 2022. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-642-8943. Forest River's number for this recall is 10-1539.

The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.
The risk: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the fabric roll or complete awning, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2022. Owners may contact the customer service numbers listed in the recall report for their designated model. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1532. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Prime Time Avenger, Crusader, Lacrosse, Ozark, Tracer, Sanibel, East to West Della Terra, Silverlake, Forest River Cherokee, Flagstaff, IBEX, RPod, Rockwood, Salem, Sierra, Sandpiper, and Wildwood fifth wheel and travel trailers. The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.
The risk: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Forest River will replace the awnings, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 17, 2022. The unit is equipped with a Murphy Bed. On two occasions the muphy bed mattress slid from its position into the well of the trailer. On the 2nd occasion the supports failed during transit and could not be retrieved without a complete disassembly of the unit. During the process it was revealed that if the supports of the bed had failed while a small person, child or animal were on it, they would be both injured and trapped. The only access panel to the space where the mattress fell into is from an outside bay. If an individual were trapped underneath the mattress, there would not be a safe path to exit on their own. This is taking into account the said access panel is behind a storage bay that would normally be filled and locked from the outside.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:REFRIGERATOR

According to a Furrion TSB "TB-220919": Irregular cooling performance has been reported on the identified refrigerators. The refrigerator compressor has been found to stop working and requires a “hard reset” by disconnecting power to reset cooling operation. On occasion, disconnecting power does not reset operation and the refrigerator requires service replacement of the control boards. This TSB may not be applicable for some vehicles.

The Federal Placard may indicate the incorrect tire that was installed. The tire that was installed is a 225/75R15 Goodyear Load Range E (10 Ply) which does exceed the GAWR. This does not pose a safety risk. The label that is mailed with this notification should replace the existing label on the vehicle. The instructions on how to replace the label are below.

The lock on the refrigerator is not installed, this may cause the refrigerator doors to open during transit and damage the cabinets or contents may come out of the fridge.
