2019 Honda Accord Owner Complaints

I am not sure if this would be considered an engine or electrical issue, but my 2019 Honda Accord sport loses power at takeoff. Press the gas all the way to the floor but still lags at take-off. I have to pull over, turn off the engine, restart then go which is a huge safety issue and is very dangerous. Also, all of the dash lights are on which causes all of the safety tools, sport mode, cruise control, all road assist tools, and auto start to be disabled. This has been an issue for about 3 years, and every dealer tells me that there is a recall on these items, but when I look up my vin, it says my vehicle is not included in any of the recalls listed. Even though all of the things happening are signs of the recall issued. Please help me in what I need to do to get my vehicle included in this recall and get my vehicle back to safety requirements.

The SRS system intermittently shows inactive (red SYS light on dash) after starting to drive. When I stop and turn the car off and then on again the light goes away. It has been happening for a couple months now, and Honda says my car was manufactured 2 months before the date of the SRS system recall.

American Honda Motors Co is recalling Honda accord turbos for fuel pump failure. Mine 2019 Honda accord 1.5 turbo failed High-Pressure Fuel Pump on 8/12/2026 and Miami lakes Honda service center charged me to replace the High-Pressure Fuel Pump. I requested Honda corporation the reimbursement and the refused because they say it's caused by cranking the vehicle, they let me know I can't crank/start the vehicle because it damages the pump (I have the email they sent me for confirmation.) and repair invoice as well. Also, the car has been smelling gasoline, The pump developed cracks in the solenoid core, which lead to fuel leaks, fuel smell while idling or driving, and an increased risk of fire, crash, or injury. I'm just requesting the reimbursement.

This complaint details severe manufacturing defects, hazardous third-party wheel modifications, and an explicit failure to execute critical safety recalls on my 2019 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport (Actual Odometer: ~30,00original miles).SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY FAILURE: The passenger-side seatbelt assembly randomly unlatches and completely disconnects while the vehicle is in motion on public roads without user input, leaving passengers entirely unprotected. The dealership completely omitted and ignored this life-safety issue when presented.STRUCTURAL WHEEL COMPROMISE & LOSS OF CONTROL: Dealership-provided third-party wheels were reinstalled with a total failure to mask off or mill down critical mating surfaces. This left an uneven layer of powder coating directly between the rims, hubs, and lug seats, causing severe tolerance variances, rotational runout, chassis vibration, and severe tire cupping. Furthermore, high-temperature thermal baking has structurally degraded the cast aluminum alloy wheel centers under load.SAFETY SYSTEM BLACKOUT (THE DITCH INCIDENT): Because the un-milled wheel faces left the chassis unstable and fighting steering inputs, the vehicle failed to stabilize during a minor defensive steering maneuver to miss a deer. The car entered a ditch and impacted a signpost with the driver-side mirror. This impact has permanently illuminated central dashboard warning lights and completely blacked out the vehicle's entire advanced driver-assist safety systems (Honda Sensing), rendering it illegal and unsafe to operate.UNRESOLVED MANUFACTURER RECALLS: The dealership has neglected to process and execute two critical safety recalls active on this vehicle: Fuel Pump Recall 21-027 (which can cause engine stall while driving) and BCM Software Update 20-039. dealership's refusal to coordinate safe, independent transport to clear these critical factory safety faults while holding the car under a predatory billing dispute places the owner and public at severe risk.

The engine continues to overheat and shut down while driving. The engine often goes into "limp" mode while driving. The entire set of gauges and lights on the dashboard light up like a Christmas tree, alerting me that all systems in the car are malfunctioning. I fear that I may have a malfunctioning head gasket. I've replace injectors, radar sensors, new turbo, gas pedal, etc and I have spent nearly $10,000 dollars and MANY, many hours at multiple Honda dealers, across various different states. This car is a lemon and I am upside down on the value of the car and what I still have financed. I wish Honda would take responsibility for their new turbo driven CVT engines that are failing.

I'm in [XXX] and just bought this 2019 honda accord unaware all Hondas 2018-2022 are lemon specially accord turbo 1.5 I was fully scammed. [XXX] rains everyday, so every time the car gets wet all safety warning lights, all sensor lights turn on and the vehicle stalls leaving me in the middle of the street and unable to drive. This situation start happening since they updated ADAS SW PUD software sensors on XXX also replaced fuel pump that failed, I replaced the battery and still the same, some people say its an electrical problem others say its the turbo charger others say its the ABS module others say its the front radar that need to be cleaned others say its the fuel injectors others say its the head gasket others say connectors get wet. I'm suffering from anxiety and depression because of this, and unable to afford al these expenses, I'm asking for Honda to fix tall this mess and compensation for my emotional distress. I own a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T. While operating my vehicle, multiple safety-system warnings appeared on the dashboard at the same time. The vehicle displayed “Brake Hold System Problem,” “Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem,” “Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem,” and “Road Departure Mitigation System Problem,” each instructing me to see my dealer. These warnings concerned me because they involved the braking system and several Honda Sensing safety systems simultaneously. I parked the vehicle and turned the engine off. When I restarted the vehicle, all of the warnings had disappeared and the dashboard appeared normal again, even though no repair had been performed. The vehicle has approximately 72,980 miles. I have photographs documenting the warnings while they were displayed. I am reporting this to NHTSA because the problem was intermittent and affected multiple braking and driver-assistance systems at the same time. I am concerned that the systems could malfunction again while driving, including the braking/collision-mitigation system. I would like this incident documented as a potential safety defect involving the 2019 Honda Accord.

I am filing this complaint regarding my 2019 Honda Accord equipped with the 1.5L turbocharged engine. The vehicle currently has approximately 190,000 miles. My vehicle has developed a serious engine/drivability problem accompanied by multiple warning lights. The warning lights that have appeared include the Check Engine light, VSA/Traction Control warning, Brake warning, Steering warning, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) warning, and Road Departure warning. The diagnostic trouble codes found on the vehicle are: P0300 – Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire P0302 – Cylinder #2 Misfire P0303 – Cylinder #3 Misfire P219A – Air-Fuel Ratio Variation P0420 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold I took the vehicle to a Honda dealership for diagnosis. After inspecting the vehicle, the dealership told me that I need a turbocharger. I have never previously replaced the turbocharger on this vehicle. I am concerned that a major turbocharger/engine-related failure on a vehicle equipped with the 1.5L turbo engine, combined with multiple cylinder misfires and an air-fuel ratio variation, could create a significant safety hazard. My concern is not simply the cost of repairing the vehicle. I am concerned about what could happen if the engine suddenly loses power, hesitates, misfires severely, or fails to accelerate while I am driving in traffic or attempting to merge onto a highway. The multiple warning lights are also concerning. When the problem occurs, the vehicle displays warnings involving several systems, including traction control, braking, steering, ACC, and Road Departure. This creates concern that safety and driver-assistance features may be disabled or affected at the same time as the engine problem. The vehicle has approximately 190,000 miles, but I believe mileage alone should not dismiss a potentially recurring safety-related defect, particularly when the vehicle is experiencing multiple engine-related diagnostic codes and the dealership has diagnosed a turbocharg

Vehicle started sputtering, then all the engine lights came on. The car felt like it did not want to drive. Took it to the dealer for diagnosis. Dealer reported that the head gasket needed to be replaced. He stated that this is a known issue but that Honda has not issued a recall. The car only has $100,000 miles. Dealer said to call American Honda to see if they would give any "good will" money. They declined.

My engine started to jerk while going over 2,000 RPM. I took my car into Firestone and they claimed they fixed the issue. Unclogging the fuel, nail in the tire and other issues that were unrelated. I drove for about a week and the issue came back with my check engine light coming on and my car not being able to accelerate past 2,000 rpm. I took the car back to Firestone and they replaced the spark plugs and claimed that the car was "good as new" once again about a week later I found myself on the side of the road with a check engine light. Thankfully I was able to make it home, after doing that I finally took my car to the dealership. After the diagnosis was done, the repair costed around 8,000 $ to replace. The issue was a head gasket replacement and a fuel injector as needing to be replaced because of the leakage of coolant into the cylinder. Due to some research, it turns out that their is a lawsuit against Honda for this exact issue with the same Make and Model car I have. I asked the Manager of Honda to file a Goodwill request and they declined it. No reason why, just declined it. Now I'm currently in the process of getting my car fixed at another shop getting my car fixed for half the price.

Coolant is leaking into my cylinders due to the head gasket design flaw. Engine now needs to be replaced and it’s over $6,000. My car has about 150k miles. About 18 months ago it started misfiring, even while on the highway multiple times with my children. Codes came back saying i needed to replace ignition coils and spark plugs. Did that over and over and over. Turns out this is an on going issue with this specific year and model. I bought this car with 4 miles on it. I’m left without a car. This need to be recalled. I have read over 4,000 stories of others having the same issue.

I own a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T that has an ongoing, unresolved engine/powertrain problem causing severe loss of acceleration, jerking, and a flashing check-engine light. The exact component causing the failure is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I initially took the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership and paid over $300 for diagnosis. Honda diagnosed the fuel injectors. I then paid approximately $800 at an independent shop to replace the fuel injectors, but the same problem continued. The vehicle was later evaluated by other repair providers. I was advised that the problem could involve the turbocharger wastegate actuator and, separately, the spark plugs and ignition coil packs. I replaced the spark plugs and coil packs, but the problem continued. Another shop later tightened/adjusted the wastegate actuator, but the vehicle continues experiencing the same issue. During a failure while driving, the vehicle lost acceleration, jerked, and the check-engine light flashed. The engine would run/turn over, but the vehicle would not accelerate or move normally when the accelerator was pressed. This left me unable to reliably maintain speed with traffic. My [XXX] daughter was with me when the vehicle became disabled, leaving us stranded on the side of the road in the summer heat until someone could pick us up. The sudden loss of acceleration created a risk of collision and left us exposed to roadside traffic and high temperatures. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Honda dealer and multiple independent repair providers. Despite multiple diagnoses and repairs, the dangerous loss-of-power condition continues. I am reporting this because the unpredictable loss of acceleration while driving presents a safety risk to my family and other motorists.
