BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

The defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019 and 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, 2024 Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Contamination in the central vision processing module or improper programming may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning July 16, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 46D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 28, 2026.

The defect: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Ram 2500 Pick up trucks. A software error in the powertrain control module may improperly allow the vehicle speed to exceed the tire speed rating, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.
The risk: Loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 43D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 14, 2026.

The defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) (Stellantis) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Chrysler Pacifica, Ram 3500, Ram 3500 cab chassis, Ram 2500, Ram 4500 cab chassis, Ram 5500 cab chassis, 2023 Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a GVWR less than 10,000 lbs., and Chrysler Voyager vehicles. The steering column control module may not be welded properly, which can prevent the driver's air bag from deploying in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
The risk: An air bag that does not deploy in a crash can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module, as necessary free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed April 11, 2024 through June 20, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's numbers for this recall are 14B, 33B, 34B, 35B, 36B.

While driving a phantom auto trailer light will come on and I am not tow anything. While towing phantom check brake wiring and trailer brake disconnected warning lights appear.

While driving, the vehicle suffered a sudden, complete, and catastrophic loss of braking power due to a total failure of the brake fluid line. The vehicle had to be immediately pulled off the road to avoid a serious collision.The vehicle was transported to a certified Ram dealership service center (Southern Motors CDJR in Savannah, GA). Upon inspection, the certified factory technician discovered and documented a severe manufacturing assembly defect: the primary brake fluid line was routed incorrectly at the factory. Due to this improper routing, the line was resting in direct, constant physical contact with the hot exhaust pipe. Over time, the extreme heat from the exhaust melted completely through the brake line and the protective heat sleeve, causing an immediate drop in hydraulic pressure and total brake system failure.This is a critical manufacturing assembly error that poses an imminent life-safety risk and fire hazard to myself and other drivers of this model year. If this incorrect routing is widespread on the assembly line, it will lead to sudden brake failures at highway speeds. I am requesting a formal safety investigation into the factory routing of the brake lines relative to the exhaust system on the 2024 Ram 2500.

LT275/70R18 Firestone E Transforce HT2 Upon seeing warning lamp for low air second time, tire was taken to independent shop for inspection and repair. Tech stated tire (23000 miles) could not be repaired because of a safety issue due to sidewall seperation defect with no sign of impact or run flat damage. The rubber was soft and thin. Could have been catastrophic had it blown out on highway. I purchased a replacement. When I took the tire to a Firestone retail store, the manager said "It's hard to tell what happened to it" obviously denying a defect and refered Me to "corporate" to try and get credit. I told him I was concerned about the other three tires because they have the same batch number. DOT VN15 TH7 5123. He stated They would do a visual inspection nothing else. I have the tire if needed for inspection. I do not feel safe driving on the other tires. This lot should be recalled.

I had a sent the vehicle in for warranty repairs for what i was told faulty lifters. the paper work shows lifters and cam was replaced and some rocker and some rods but not all. no photos provided. after my first oil change after the repair the noise is back and they state its normal and it has been noted.

The contact owns a 2024 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The contact had to pump the brake pedal several times to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an oil change, and the contact informed the dealer of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the trailer braking system failed to operate, slow the vehicle, or stop the trailer while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the trailer brake disconnected warning light was illuminated. The contact researched and was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the trailer brake controller needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

This is a brand new truck with 22,000 miles, a rod came loose in the engine when i was driving it, and blew a hole in the engine at 65 MPH, the rod then shot through my oil pan, I lost all drivability, no steering, no gas and I could not see due to black smoke. I almost died! I was able to pull over all the way to the left by the grace of God, not being able to see and having cars driving by at top speeds this is a catastrophic failure and the service Tech Ethan where the truck is says this happens 1 in every 1,000 trucks! The truck is at castle rock co dodge jeep ram

Brakes always collapse to the Floor. You cannot stick your toe in between the brake and the floorboard. But if you pump up the brakes like you used in the 1970''s the brake will rise and you can put a full foot underneath between the brake and the floorboard. Those making the brakes stop the truck 80%better. But if you put it in 4x4 mode there is almost no stopping power at all. You only have 10% of your brakes. Both issues can cause death and or injuries! If 4x4 is used on the road for rain or snow it will cause death and if your lucky just a major injury!!!!!!
