2023 Buick Enclave

After purchasing this 2023 Buick Enclave July 26, 2026 two days later I heard a vibrating rattle coming from under the hood. I raised the hood and pinpointed the noise to be coming from under the motor cover. I could not remove that cover myself. I reported it to the dealership where I bought it and they said when I bring it in to have the Paint And interior, Protection to be applied that they would take a look for that rattle sound. After their inspection on 9/16/26 they called me back and said that it was the EVAP purge solenoid tube. And that the fix would be to put two rubber dampeners onto the purge tube line to isolate the vibrations and stop it from hitting other engine components. Then secure the dampeners with tie straps. They wanted to charge me $331 to do that. I said I’m not paying that so I proceeded to look up this information online and I found there’s an actual Technical service bulletin. It’s not an official safety recall but GM is aware of it and the bulletin number is 21 – NA – 023. So I spoke with my bumper-to-bumper warranty people and they said that if the actual purge valve piece was not broken, then it would be most likely at my expense. The noise is caused by fuel vapor pulsations vibrating through the EVAP purge solenoid tube. The Symptom: drivers typically notice a rapid clicking or rattling sound under the hood, which can sometimes be mistaken for engine knock or failing engine mounts. Note on code: This specific bulletin is strictly a noise concern and does NOT trigger a check engine light or throw trouble codes like P0496 on its own. The notice from GM also states that if a vehicle is still covered under its factory, bumper-to-bumper or emissions warranty, the repair should be completed free of charge. If you are out of warranty, you may be subject to diagnostic fees or out-of-pocket cost for the fix. After speaking with the service department at that dealership, they said that they were not going to replace the purge valve.

The contact owns a 2023 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to 3rd gear and the vehicle decelerated. The contact stated that the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. Additionally, the computer system took control of the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving in the center lane on a busy highway. The vehicle was driven to a safe location. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Right-side LED headlight assembly failed at under 3 years and ~55,000 miles. Dealer states the sealed LED unit is non-serviceable and must be replaced as a complete assembly, quoted at ~$1,450. LED headlights are rated for tens of thousands of hours and are marketed to last the life of the vehicle; this failed at a small fraction of rated life. Other 2023 Enclave owners report the same right-side failure at similar low age/mileage, suggesting a recurring defect.

Sunroof leak due to fault drain tube causing the review mirror to glitch, leaking through the headliner and wire harness into the inside of the vehicle. Vehicle is still at the dealership. They have requested and put in the new equipment which upon inspection by dealer service this replacement was also defective and a new part has been ordered.

Headlight on right side failure - no light. AI shows a recall for this problem, but my vin was not listed. Notice also states 2022, 2023, and 2024 vehicles. It should be as car was only 2 years 10 months old with about 42000 miles. GM has the part now. Dealer inspected the car. Light had less then 750 hours on it; references say average light should last 20,000 hours. An obvious defect. Only noticed failure due to a neighbor seeing it. We drive mostly in the day due to age. Car is used only to go to work. Car has auto headlights, and they do not operate during daylight when we drive.

Driver's seat belt cable going to floor on outside of seat broke, it is available for inspection. Seat belt is inoperative. I spoke with a dealer, but I am over on miles to be covered by warranty. The vehicle has not been inspected, and there were not any warning lamps or warning' I noticed when I tried to buckle up for ride home Friday evening 10/10/2025
