I own a 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX]). Since approximately XXX, the vehicle has experienced recurring failures involving critical driver-assistance and safety systems. The problems include: • "Forward Collision System Unavailable" warnings • "Adaptive Cruise Control Temporarily Unavailable" warnings • Automatic braking while reversing when no obstacle is present • Repeated loss of confidence in the operation of safety-related driver assistance systems The vehicle has been presented to authorized Honda service facilities approximately four times for diagnosis and repair. The vehicle has spent approximately 20 to 22 days out of service. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problems continue. The vehicle has never been involved in a collision. A prior insurance claim involved hail damage only and was repaired. I do not believe the hail damage is related to the recurring failures of the driver-assistance systems. Because these systems are intended to help avoid collisions and improve vehicle safety, I am concerned that their repeated failure may create a safety risk. The unexpected braking while reversing is particularly concerning because it occurs even when no obstacle is present. I have opened Honda Case Number 162-31526 with American Honda Motor Company and have requested assistance, including consideration of a repurchase, replacement, or other resolution. I am submitting this complaint so that the issue can be documented and reviewed as a potential safety-related defect. The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V306000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that while in reverse, the rear-view camera was glitching, and the red triangle on the rear-view camera screen indicated that there was an object behind the vehicle; however, there was no object behind the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

2024 Honda Prologue, 434 miles outside of warranty, CV joints failing and requires over $1,000 out of pocket. This is known defect from the manufacturer and it just showed up a few weeks ago. There are hundreds of Honda customers with the same issue. Honda has not issued a recall and refuses to qualify it under the limited warranty.

Please see details of NHTSA Campaign #25V433000. This is a known issue associated with a platform technology shared by GM and Honda. I purchased the vehicle as CPO on 31 July and almost immediately the parking brake warning light and the 'Service Transmission Now, Unable to Shift Soon' error code appeared on the dash. I returned the car to the dealer on 1 Aug for repairs and was told this is a 'known issue' with Honda Prologues, but there is no recall in effect for Honda. How is this possible? I am concerned with the degree of risk I could have potentially encountered due to a sudden brake failure or being stranded.

On 7/16/26, while driving, I heard loud clicking noises when turning and sometimes while driving straight. I took the vehicle to Coggin Deland Honda for inspection and they determined that both driveshafts are broken and need replacement. The service advisor shared that this is an ongoing problem with 2024 Honda Prologues that are not being covered by warranty. He also shared that there is a class action lawsuit regarding this issue, because they knew about this issue when building the vehicle. We have filed a claim through Honda corporate. The safety of myself and children is at risk because I am no longer able to drive the car because it poses inherent risk which can cause a vehicle crash or even death. The vehicle component has been inspected by a Honda certified mechanic. The repairs cost around 2500. This is unacceptable and should be covered by the warranty.

I went to charge my car Sunday morning, and throughout the day it kept showing on the dashboard that the charge door was open. I stopped several times to check, and the charge door was actually closed, which was really strange. Later, I went into a store for less than 10 minutes. I locked my car before going inside, but when I came back out, all the windows were down. It honestly scared me because I have no idea how that could have happened. I shared my experience with a coworker who has the same car, and he told me the exact same thing happened to him. It’s so strange and concerning. This is the first time it has happened to me, but now I’m nervous about leaving anything inside the car, wondering if the windows could randomly open again.

While getting ready to parallel park the car, the entire screen system (dashboard, center console) went completely blank. This completely eliminates visibility to all safety aids, speed of vehicle, and warning systems. This has happened with this specific vehicle in the past, and the vehicle has been updated by Honda dealership. it has not been brought to a dealer quite yet. I am awaiting the dealerships opening and availability of a loaner vehicle. I have an ongoing case with Honda on this vehicle, Case # 16062775.

I was traveling on Interstate 80 with adaptive cruise control set at 70. The cruise control normally recognizes slower cars ahead and slows or stops as necessary. I saw that cars were stopped ahead so I reduced the cruise control setting to 60 to "help" it slow down. However, we came up fast on the stopped cars and the car did not slow. I had to manually brake to avoid a collision. The car's speed was about 67 when I applied the brakes. The car acted like slowing to the new cruise control setting of 60 was overriding the collision avoidance. I recently had much of the software in the car updated due to a recall and the adaptive cruise control seems to be acting differently now. Weather was clear, around 4pm, and the roads were dry. We were Eastbound around a slight left curve (not sharp) and traffic was stopped ahead in all 5 lanes, so the system should have noticed the obstacles ahead.

Both left and right CV axles make loud clicking, grinding noise when turning. I reported this issue to Honda at around 6,500 miles. At first I was told we are waiting for a solution. Now the dealership's service manager says that there is no safety issue and that Honda has no intention of fixing the problem. The car currently has less than 16,000 miles and the clicking just keeps getting louder. It doesn't feel safe and at the very least it's annoying and unacceptable.

WHEN I USED ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, MY CAR TENDS TO LEAN SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT. IT VEERS OVER A BIT AND THEN JERKS TO THE LEFT. ALL IN ALL, I CAN'T USE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON THE FREEWAY WITHOUT PAYING ATTENTION. IT IS GENUINELY DANGEROUS IF VEHICLES ARE DRIVING ALONGSIDE OR BEHIND ME. OTHER THING, WHEN I USED ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL FOR ALMOST ONE HOUR, THEN IT SUDDENLY BECOMES INACTIVE. IF I HAVE BEEN FOLLOW ANOTHER CAR, then what should happen when it suddenly becomes inactive??? I was very lucky at that time because there was no car in front of me. After 5,000 miles, my car began to make a slight noise on the right side when I slowed down in the city. Maybe it happened in the front drive axle assemblies or the front right low arm control.

I am unable to manually turn on my lights, the vehicle stays on ‘automatic lights’. Headlight function remains normal within the automated functions, however, pursuing to Florida Statute 316.217 manual headlight control is necessary to turn on my headlights. The windshield wipers are an operation which does not take place unless the windshield wipers traveling at such speed, automated light control turns them on automatically. The cause of this is directly related to the software in the entertainment system that manually locks out the driver from addressing and turning on their own headlights.

Component: Honda Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS/AEB). Vehicle is in GEICO insurance claim process, not yet released. EDR data has not been extracted and is available for inspection if preserved before the vehicle changes hands. Safety risk: Two failure modes. (1) False AEB activations occurred multiple times — while driving at ~20 mph and while reversing at low speed, with no obstacle present. Hard sudden braking with no warning created rear-collision risk. (2) On 6/23/2026 at ~9:50 AM, AEB failed to activate when I struck a parked vehicle. Airbags deployed on impact, briefly incapacitating me. My foot remained on the accelerator. Standard post-collision safety design calls for automatic power cutoff and brake application after airbag deployment, specifically to prevent continued acceleration when a driver may be incapacitated. This vehicle did neither — it continued accelerating, significantly worsening the collision. I sustained soreness and bruising. Dealer confirmation: I did not take the vehicle to a dealer for the phantom braking. Per other NHTSA complaints for the Prologue and Honda's broader CMBS issues (Engineering Analysis EA25002), dealers have reportedly been unable to replicate the issue and told owners the behavior is normal. Inspections: GEICO assessed the vehicle for the claim. No inspection by Honda or independent mechanic for AEB specifically. EDR data not yet extracted. Warning indicators: During false AEB activations, the collision warning appeared on the dashboard at the moment of braking, not before. No advance warning. No persistent warning lamps or diagnostic messages indicating CMBS malfunction at any point during ownership. Phantom braking occurred intermittently throughout ownership.

I can’t give the car back and Honda has the dealer and customer hand tied up. NHTSA this a known issue and Honda and GM new about this and will not help, can this be a safety issue yes , just wait until a wheel comes off when doing 60 miles per hour and somebody gets killed they it will be a recall.

My 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN [XXX]) only has 16K miles on this vehicle. Both front half-shaft CV joints are failing and have been failing for the last SEVERAL months by manifesting a persistent and worsening very loud clicking when loading and unloading the drive-train, driving up hill and executing any type of turn maneuver. I've complained numerous times to the Honda Dealership here in Seattle start 4Q 2025. They informed me that this has been an ongoing "known" problem with this specific model over the entire model 3 year offering from 2024-26, but at that time Honda America had no revised part number to effectively mitigate the problem. They initially replaced the failed CV half-shafts with the same part number, only to have those parts fail again. Honda America subsequently instructed all Honda dealerships maintenance depts to stop replacing these parts until a newly revise part number is released. I was instructed to contact Honda America at their national customer service at 800-999-1009. (My Case # [XXX]). I've spoken with at least 20-30 difference Honda reps over the last 6 months with no commitment to do anything to fix this potentially dangerous problem. When the outer CV joint completely fails, it could potentially turn into a pole-vault stick and literally flip the car at freeway speeds and definitely cause a catastrophic loss of control at freeway speeds or at any velocity/momentum whatsoever. The very disappointing fact is there is NOW a revised/vastly improved Part Number (Honda Part #86284282) that offers customers a fix to this very well known problem. Honda has not officially issued a recall so dealers are not able to perform this fix under warranty. My friend has this same car and her 2024 Honda Prologue is making this same exact clunking noise. She's faced with the same dilemma. Please, we all need your advocacy to get Honda America to act, not to cower and ignore the issue. Thank you for your advocacy! While driving my 2024 Honda Prologue Elite at anywhere from 10-30 MPH, the One-Pedal Driving system suddenly and without warning faults out and disabled mid-drive. The regenerative braking abruptly cut out, causing a sudden loss of expected deceleration, creating a 'lurch forward' feeling. A dashboard warning light illuminated instructing me to press the brake pedal immediately. This has happened multiple times, causing a severe safety hazard during normal traffic conditions. The vehicle shares an identical GM Ultium electronic brake modulator architecture with other previously recalled vehicles. The car is unsafe and should be considered for recall repairs. I have read that this is happening to others and Honda really needs to address this issue.
