2024 Honda Prologue Other / unspecified Problems

My car started clicking when making left and right turns. I have to replace both CV joints. The symptoms appeared approximately 20k miles.

There is a clicking sound when turning right or left which seems the axle is broken. It is still under warranty but the dealer is refusing to fix it saying this breaks on all Prologue cars and they do not have a fix for that

The contact leased a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked outside in the driveway, unoccupied, suddenly there was a loud explosion, and the vehicle caught on fire. The contact stated that the fire spread to the garage and a vehicle parked nearby. The local fire department arrived on scene to extinguish the fire. The source of the fire remained under investigation. A Police report was filed. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle and the other vehicle parked nearby were deemed total losses. The vehicles were towed to a local tow yard as per the insurance provider. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by telephone. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000

clicking noise from CV axle. I took this to dealership (Mungenast St Louis Honda) multiple times in 2025-2026. Dealership advised that the problem was the CV axle(s), and Honda would not authorize repairs due to pending litigation and reports of current fixes not working

On Feb 7th, notice a Knocking/Clicking noise coming from right wheel when making slight right turn, but not often. Called my dealership and immediately they said they were aware of issue and said it is common in Prologues. But due to the prologue being a GM make and not Honda, they were told they needed to wait till GM comes up with a solution, as well as parts being backordered. A few weeks later, knocking noise got louder and happening more often. Concerned I asked them to take a look at vehicle. I brought it in on March 4th, tech took it for a drive and yes confirmed issue and told me we just needed to wait or callback in a few months. As of today, April 11th, noise is extremely loud & always happens when making right turns, and is continuous through the whole duration of turn. Now we are slowly hearing it on left turns and when reversing.

When turning left or right, the vehicle produces a distinct clicking sound from the front drivetrain or steering area. This issue was first noticed on January 22, 2025 and has continued to occur since that time. I have reported the problem to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, the concern is no longer being documented on my service receipts despite my attempts to have it addressed. The persistent clicking noise raises concern about a possible defect involving the axle, CV joint, steering components, or the electric drivetrain system. If a related component were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in loss of propulsion, steering impairment, or sudden mechanical failure during a turn, increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership has indicated that the manufacturer is aware of the issue but has not yet provided a repair remedy or guidance to the service center, leaving the vehicle operating with a potentially unresolved mechanical defect.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This ongoing situation has caused significant stress and raises serious safety concerns. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as it appears to be a recurring defect affecting a critical vehicle component. When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900

It's a noise coming from the front of both tires; it's a very, very unpleasant noise that's a little frightening because it's in the suspension area of ​​the tires, and it sounds like something could break. The noise is also very loud and quite annoying. It's uncomfortable to drive with that noise all the time; it's constant when turning left or right. I'm trying to figure out if it's a manufacturing defect or something that can be fixed. I've already taken it to the dealership twice to report this problem, and they tell me it's normal, that the car is supposed to make that noise, but I don't think it's normal. The vehicle began popping when turning left near the axel. Once brought up to Honda we were made aware that they know about the issue but my vehicle didn’t fall as necessary to fix…..yet and they are hoping for a recall in order to address my issue. Till then I’m supposed to drive around with a potentially broken axel with my children.

After which, the message "Battery Low" and "Service High Voltage System" were displayed, even though the battery indicator showed that the battery was charged to 90%. I purchased brand new honda prologue almost spent 60k and from the day i bought the car starting the next week it start making slow sounds from front tire or suspension and slowly slowly it going more and more i went for my 1 service complain about that to the service advisor he finish the service and come back to me and give me the answer that this is manufacture default honda is having we cannot do nothing in this case indeed not having no help i leave from there the sounds getting more and more i am getting too scared to drive this vehicle on highway on 70mph because i feel the tire will break i went again for 2 service recently with more noice and they gave me the same answer that honda have manufacturing default i mean spending 60k with this kind of response is crazy i cannot believe i am soo disappointed and upset to have this car i am soo scared i need help please help me asap
