The defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
The risk: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed September 29, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 26V051 and 23V413. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.

The defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE and 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Debris inside the engine may cause engine failure, which can result in a loss of drive power and/or an engine compartment fire.
The risk: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash, and a vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will install a software update and replace the block or engine as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning May 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 78C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 13, 2025.

The defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
The risk: A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy: This recall is replaced by NHTSA recall number 25V741. Vehicles already repaired under this recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, and not to recharge their vehicles until they are repaired. Dealers will update the high voltage battery pack software and replace the battery pack assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 11, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 95B. Vehicles in this recall that were previously recalled for the same issue under NHTSA Recall 23V-787 will need to have the new remedy performed.

Fire reported

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. The contact stated that while out of town, the vehicle was parked at the residence; however, neighbors informed the contact that the vehicle had caught fire overnight. The local fire department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was completely burned; however, the vehicle had not yet been evaluated by the insurance company. The contact stated that the security camera footage indicated that the fire had started under the passenger’s side hood. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure through voicemail messages. The contact discovered that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System). The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

GoodYear 265/60R18, Morning NHTSA, i had these 4 tires inspected by good year, the 4xe trailhawk has 28,000 miles but the tires are very low because of the wait of the phev it slides it very harder to stop because the traction is so bad, sometimes i feel like i have a pickup truck with no because it slips so much is can be a little sand or not level road. To me its very un safe because these are not EV tires, these tires should be on the conventional suv what there are really made for, at low speed its bad.

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. The contact stated that the vehicle battery had died. The contact stated that upon shifting to Neutral(N) and pushing the vehicle from the declined driveway to the garage, the vehicle unintendedly picked up speed and crashed into the garage door. The contact stated that the brake lights had illuminated while pushing the vehicle, but the brakes failed to engage, causing the vehicle to crash into the garage door. The rear-end of the vehicle, a garage door, and the center support between the two garage doors were damaged. There was no injury sustained. No police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that no issues were found besides the battery drainage. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the brakes failed to engage. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. No warning lights were illuminated. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. Engineering is looking to collect pictures of the latches and cables as they are found by the dealers. Turbocharger Kit Please note that many turbo components are serviceable separately and full turbo replacement may not be required. If the turbo is being inspected for: Noise/Rattle: Inspect heat shield fasteners for looseness and check the wastegate actuator/linkage for binding. The actuator kit is serviced separately. Oil Leak: Inspect the turbo oil feed O-ring area for leaks. O-ring is serviced separately.
