I PURCHASED A USED 2014 LEXUS GS350 F-SPORT IN LATE 2019. NOT LONG AFTER PURCHASE I ALWAYS NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NEVER STRAIGHT, SEEMED A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT AND WHEN DRIVING ON FREEWAY THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD FEEL AS IF IT STICKS A LITTLE TO THAT POSITION AND WHEN TRYING TO ALIGN THE CAR TO THE LANE, I HAVE TO USE A LITTLE STRENGTH JUST FOR THE STEERING TO MOVE A LITTLE AND THEN IT WOULD FEEL LIKE IT PULLS TO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. EVERY TIME THAT HAPPENS IT LOOKS LIKE I'M SWERVING FOR NO REASON AND FEELS VERY UNSAFE SPECIALLY WHEN OTHER VEHICLES ARE NEXT TO ME. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET AN ALIGNMENT AND THE PROBLEM DIDN'T GO AWAY AND THE STEERING WHEELS WAS STILL FACING TOWARD THE RIGHT. SO I TOOK IT BACK FOR A SECOND TIME AND THEY RE DID THE ALIGNMENT ALONG WITH TEST DRIVING IT AND COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THE CAR WAS FINE. I REPLACED THE REAR TIRES AS THEY WERE GETTING A LITTLE LOW AND THINKING MAYBE SOMEHOW THEY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ALIGNMENT AFTER REPLACING THE TIRES THE ISSUE HAS ACTUALLY GOTTEN MORE CONSISTENT AND IT'S GETTING VERY ANNOYING. BESIDES ANNOYING I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT, BUT I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE AT THE MOMENT. FORTUNATE TO NOT HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS BUT I'M SCARED OF DRIVING IT IN THE RAIN OR ON LONG TRIPS.

PASSENGER SEAT FRAME HAD TO BE REPLACED AT MY COST BECAUSE IT WAS SENDING A FAULTY SIGNAL TO AIR BAG AND THE ONLY WAY THE DEALER COULD ERASE THE AIR BAG CODE WAS TO REPLACE THE SEAT FRAME AT A COST OF $1500 ALSO WITH THE SEATS, THE DRIVER SEAT SLIDES BACK AND FORTH WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES APPROXIMATELY 1 INCH MAKING FOR AN UNSAFE PROCEDURE WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. IT STARTLES THE DRIVER AND CAUSES A SEVERE DISTRACTION. THE SEAT WILL SLIDE BACK AND FORTH UNTIL THE VEHICLE COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP, WHICH MAKES APPLYING CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO BE IMPOSSIBLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 LEXUS GS 350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, LEFT APPROACHING AN ON RAMP, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND STALLED OUT WHILE THE ACCELERATED PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE CAUSING ANOTHER VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE CONTACTS VEHICLE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN IN 360 AND END UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. ALL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND WENT TO THE HOSPITAL THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE POLICE TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A LOT AND DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. NO DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V012000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) WHICH COULD BE A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE THAT OCCURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,250.

A RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED ON JANUARY 12, 2020 TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP ON MY LEXUS. I CONTACTED PARKPLACE LEXUS IN GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TWICE AND MOST RECENTLY ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS HAVE NOT YET ARRIVED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE FUEL PUMP COULD FAIL ABRUPTLY WHILE THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.

THERE'S A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THE FUEL PUMP WHICH I WAS NOTIFIED LAST MONTH ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON A SOLUTION FOR THE ISSUE BUT THIS ISN'T HAPPENING AS QUICK AS IT SHOULD. I'M CONCERNED DRIVING KNOWING THAT MY CAR COULD POSSIBLY STALL AT ANY MOMENT AS I DRIVE ON ONE THE BUSIEST FREEWAYS IN DALLAS ON A DAILY BASIS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF I COULD HAVE THIS REPAIR EXPEDITED AS I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AT THIS POINT. *TR

BOTH FRONT DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS STOPPED WORKING WITHIN A WEEK JUST AFTER 65,000 MILES. THERE ARE MANY MANY OTHERS OUT THERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE FOR THIS GENERATION GS350. HOPE TO SEE LEXUS RECALL TO MAINTAIN QUALITY AND RELIABILITY REPUTATION. THE REPAIR COSTS ARE VERY UNREASONABLE.

BOTH FRONT DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS ARE NOT WORKING. THEY FAILED WITHIN DAYS AT 60,000 MILES. COST TO REPLACE BY DEALER IS PROHIBITIVE. I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THS IS A COMMON ISSUE BRAND WISE.

Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
