The defect: CERTAIN CK MOTORSPORTS COMBINATION HEADLIGHTS, CLEAR CORNER, BUMPER, AND SIDE MARKER LIGHTS SOLD AS REPLACEMENT LAMPS FOR USE ON THE PASSENGER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
The risk: WITHOUT THE AMBER REFLECTORS, THE VEHICLE WILL BE POORLY ILLUMINATED, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

The defect: THE STEEL SPOKED WHEEL ASSEMBLIES INSTALLED AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT OR OFFERED AS AN OPTION ON THESE VEHICLES WERE IMPROPERLY WELDED DURING ASSEMBLY OF THE WHEEL RIM TO DISK, WHICH CAN CAUSE CRACKS IN THE WHEEL.
The risk: THE WHEEL CRACKS LEAD TO A CHRONIC LOSS OF AIR IN THETIRES WHICH MAY DAMAGE THE TIRES AND CAUSE THEM TO FAIL. ALSO, CONTINUEDOPERATION OF THE VEHICLE WITH THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN THE PARTIALSEPARATION OF THE WHEEL RIM AND DISK. IN EITHER CASE, LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROLMAY OCCUR, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT.
The remedy: MAZDA DEALERS WILL REPLACE ALL FOUR WHEELS WITHOUT CHARGE.

MY SEAT BELTS HAVE FAILED 2 TIMES WHILE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. THE SEAT BELT FAILS TO RETRACT. THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT WAS REPLACED 1 TIME WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. NOW THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY THE SEAT BELTS WILL NOT RETRACT. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS FAULT WITH THE BELTS. I DO NOT THINK I SHOULD BE OUT THE EXPENSE OR BEAR THE DANGER OF FAULTY SEAT BELTS. WHEN THE SEAT BELT IS PULLED OUT IT SIMPLY DANGLES JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY.*JB

1ST INCIDENT WAS ON 10-29-98 WHEN I TOOK MY TRUCK IN TO CHECK THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED. THEY NOTICED A BLISTER ON MY TIRE AND I HAD TO GET IT REPLACED. 2ND INCIDENT OCCURED ON 9-16-99 WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE TREAD ON MY LEFT FRONT TIRE CAME OFF, CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY TRUCK. *AK( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 235/75R15 )
