The throttle body issues again with the burning smell as well the whole car shut down like the other two times I reported on this website! Please note the team who fixed it last time was at Poway Ford and the main manager from auto maintenance was fired due to attempting to correct the issue on my 2011 Ford Edge!
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the rear-view camera displayed a blank image while in reverse(R), and the side mirrors readjusted at start-up. Additionally, the power seat settings failed to remain programmed, and the power windows failed to roll down as needed. Over time, there was an abnormal wire-burning odor coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the body control module was inoperable. Upon investigation, the contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V659000 (Structure); and associated the failure with the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, the contact was informed that the vehicle could not be registered due to the incomplete recall of NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V659000 (Structure). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the recall repair could not be completed because the part for the repair had been discontinued. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle could not be returned due to the incomplete safety recall. The vehicle remained at the dealer for two months. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The contact was informed that the VIN could not be removed from the recall. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Passenger door Door ajar light laminates and will not shut off. Now battery keeps dying.
Overheating && electrical !!!! It’s been over heating since I got the dealership fixed it free of charge I’m still having the same problem I looked it up there are 3 recalls that’s I’m having the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS WITH
There were three recalls listed on your site that are no longer active which perfectly describe what is going on with my car at the moment we have had major electrical problems with it we have had problems with the tailgate not latching and opening while driving down the road also overheating when stopped at a light all of a sudden the air conditioner starts blowing hot air and it shoots up and overheats while you're idling out of traffic light the electrical system is totally messed up I can't even begin to list everything that has gone wrong with that the lights being turned on when we're not in the car to the no key in car actually going down the road it shut down no key and we were able to get it back on again but for a minute I thought that the car was going to stop moving it seems that this model car has had these issues in the past that recalls have been put out for but nothing is active for it right now and we're experiencing what was going on in those recalls I would appreciate it if you could look into this for me my daughter drives his car to school and she has been stranded several times I don't feel that it's safe for her to drive in this condition please let me know if there's anything you can do to reinstate any of these recalls to Goodwill type extension of these recalls I don't know what to do at this point because all of this is very expensive to fix I am [XXX] she is a student I just want her to be able to drive a car that she's not going to get hurt in or be stranded someplace thank you for taking the time to look at this and I will hope to hear from you again my email is [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Front drivers Door will not open from outside of vehicle
The passenger door warning keeps coming on saying door ajar and keeps lights illuminated until I manually move latch on door to catch
On 12-11-22 I had a flat tire. I went to put on the spare, following directions step by step, and placing the jack where the arrow points in the correct spot. I jacked my car up and once the tire was off, the car fell onto the ground bending the jack. I then realized the area the jack sits, along with other areas under the car are badly corroded. It's available for inspection, yes. This could have badly hurt me or my 4 year old who was near me had the jack flew out or my hand had been in the area. I am concerned if there are any other framework issues since the car landed hard on concrete. I also dont know if there is other hidden corrosion I cannot see that could pose saftey issues while driving.
When closing my front passenger door, the door ajar light remains on. With this, my doors will not lock creating a potentially dangerous situation where a person could open my doors if I’m driving. I either have to repeatedly slam the door until it closes or just leave it as is, but as stated my doors will not lock. I do not want the risk of having someone opening my doors while I’m inside, have young children open the door while in drive, or have someone break into my car.
Driver's door shows door ajar alarm. Even though doors are all securely closed. Doors will not lock while driving the car. Real safety issue for any children in the vehicle.

MY PASSENGER DOOR AJAR WOULD COME ON AND I KNOW MY DOOR IS SHUT. IT'S STARTING TO GET BAD NOW. THE OTHER DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE DOOR POPPED OPEN A LITTLE TO WHERE I CAN HEAR THE OUTSIDE AIR COMING IN. I WAS DRIVING FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIS HAPPEN. THIS HAS TO BE FIX SOON.
I (SKYLA BURKS) TOOK MY FORD EDGE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE MY RECALLS REPAIRED! MY BRAKE BOOSTER BEING THE MAIN ONE I'M CONCERNED WITH BECAUSE THAT'S THE BIGGEST SAFETY PROBLEM! THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME BECAUSE MY CAR WAS OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MILES THAT THE RECALL EXPIRED! HOW CAN THE BRAKE BOOSTER RECALL EVER EXPIRE? ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT'S THE MEANS OF BEING ABLE TO STOP! MY BRAKES ARE SO BAD THAT I DON'T LIKE PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR! I DON'T FEEL SAFE AT ALL DRIVING IT & THEY TELL ME THEY CAN'T REPAIR DUE TO THE MILEAGE! FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH/SENSOR MALFUNCTION. DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS CLOSED. THE DOORS DON'T LOCK AND THE DOME LIGHT STAYS ON BECAUSE THE CAR THINKS THE DOOR IS OPEN. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE I HAVE A SMALL SON AND WE CAN'T LOCK THE DOORS WHILE HE'S IN THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (KRIEGER FORD, INC. 1800 MORSE RD, COLUMBUS, OH 43229) FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PASSENGER'S SIDE LOCK ACTUATORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000
MY 2011 FORD EDGE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LATCH: THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR AND THE DRIVER REAR. EVERYTIME THE DOOR IS SHUT IT SAYS DOOR AJAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD EDGE. AFTER THE REAR ELECTRONIC LIFTGATE DOOR WAS IN THE OPEN POSITION, THE DOOR ERRONEOUSLY CLOSED AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE OWNER'S HEAD. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR INDICATES DOOR AJAR WHICH AFFECTS LOCKS. IF IT SHOWES DOOR AJAR YOU CAN NOT LOCK THE DOORS IF YOU DO IT IMMEDIATELY UNLOCKS ALL DOORS.
DOOR AJAR SENSOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WONT GO OFF
DOOR LATCH SENSOR FAILED. CAR REPORTS DOOR IS OPEN WHEN IT ISN'T. CAR WON'T PROPERLY LOCK FROM INTERIOR WITH "OPEN DOOR" CONDITION. OCCURS IN SPITE OF MOTION.
1.DRIVERS DOOR AJAR LIGHT WARNING STAYS ON. 2. HEAD LIGHTS. THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT AND DOME LIGHT STAYS ON HAVE TOO REPEATEDLY SLAM THE DOOR FOR LIGHT TO GO OFF. ALSO HEADLIGHTS GOES OUT AT NIGHT SOMETIME THE RIGHT LIGHT GOES OUT OR THE LEFT SOME TIMES 4TH THEY BOTH WILL GO OUT HAVE TO SWITCH THE KNOB BACK TO OFF POSITION AND THEN TURN BACK ON TO GET THE HEADLIGHTS BACK ON.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOORS WERE NOT OPEN WHEN THE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BACKUP CAMERA DID NOT WORK. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN THE GEAR WAS IN REVERSE, A NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STOP BEFORE MOVING AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PURVIS FORD LINCOLN (540-898-3000, LOCATED AT 3660 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22408) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY OWNER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000. *TR*JB
