(2017 THOR VEGAS) NO ACCIDENT HAS HAPPENED...YET. WHEN WE TOOK DELIVERY ON 06-22-2017, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WIPER DID NOT WIPE THE DRIVER'S ENTIRE FIELD OF VISION, A SAFETY ISSUE IN A DOWNPOUR. REPAIR WAS ATTEMPTED BY DEALER LEAVING THE DRIVER'S SIDE WIPER BLADE PARKED 1/3 OF THE WAY UP THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKING THE DRIVER'S VIEW AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WIPER PARKED OFF THE GLASS (SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO). THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO THOR AND HAS BEEN FOR YEARS, AS OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ARE ON FILE. *DT CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER. PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED.*JB *DT *TR *DT CONSUMER STATED AFTER INSTALLING THE 28" BLADE ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WIPER, THE BLADES ARE PARKED IN THE CORRECT POSITION, BUT THEY ARE STILL COLLIDING ON EVERY OTHER SWIPE. THEY DO NOT COLLIDE IF YOU TEST THEM FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, BUT IN RAIN STORM AFTER RUNNING FOR MORE THAT 5 TO 10 MINUTES THEY START TO COLLIDE. AS I HAVE STATED BEFORE, THE WIPER DRIVE ROD IS JUST SLOPPY. I HAVE NOW GONE TO MY LAST OPTION THAT I MENTIONED BELOW, WHICH IS TO INSTALL A 28" BLADE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE ALSO. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TEST THIS MODIFICATION IN THE RAIN YET. SHORT TERM TEST IS GOOD, BUT THEY NEED TO RUN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME TO KNOW FOR SURE. THERE ARE THREE IMAGES ATTACHED.*JB

The Service Awareness Newsletter is an informal communication that contains information that may not be presently available in a TSB, SSM, GSB, or other electronic communication. This article includes information on warranty, technical service tips and other service information.
EQUIPMENT
Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles built on or before 31-Dec-2018 and some 2017-2018 E-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine built on or before 16-Jul-2018 using the Motorcraft Orange coolant may exhibit an engine or transmission overheat concern. This condition may be due to deposits from the engine coolant becoming trapped in the radiator preventing coolant flow. To correct the condition, flush the cooling system, replace the radiator and fill with Motocraft Yellow coolant.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT
Some 2016-2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a SYNC 3 Touchscreen may experience the volume control unresponsive from the Front Control Interface Module (FCIM) and steering volume controls when using Apple Car Play. When the Apple device is removed, volume control is restored. This is due to a concern with the Waze Navigation App software and Apple iOS version. To correct the condition, update the Waze App software and iOS to the latest version available and reboot the customer's Apple device. Perform an ignition cycle and reconnect the Apple device via USB. Open Apple Car Play and confirm volume control is restored. Installing/Updating third party software/applications is not warrantable.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
