The panoramic roof glass on my 2024 Hyundai Palisade shattered unexpectedly while the vehicle was stationary or just beginning to move. I did not observe any object striking the vehicle, nor was the vehicle involved in a collision. The glass continued to fall into the passenger compartment, creating a potential safety hazard for occupants. The vehicle can still be operated; however, dust, water, and other debris can enter the vehicle through the damaged roof. There were no warning signs, unusual noises, cracks, or other symptoms prior to the failure. The incident occurred on September 9, 2026, at approximately 37,900 miles. I have scheduled a dealership inspection for this week, and a case has already been opened with Hyundai Customer Care. The dealer's inspection is currently pending.

My car makes a clunking noise in the rear (rear differential) while starting/ stopping at slow speeds or turning a corner. No warning lights but it seems to be worse. Dealership has replaced shock absorber assembly and said it corrected it. It did not. I have called the dealership again for them to tell me my car needed a system update.

When stopping on uneven ground ,or steeper down hill the breaks fail to stop. They don’t “catch “ to stop. In separate issue is the “emergency steering” alert flashes on dash randomly and takes over when there is no need to anything out of the normal happening, only happen in very short time maybe under a minute but it shouldn’t come on at all when it does happen

I purchased this 2024 Hyundai Palisade new, delivered XXX. Beginning XXX, at only 3,954 miles, I began experiencing a recurring defect in which the front windshield wipers freeze, stick, or stop moving mid-stroke while the vehicle is being actively driven. This is most dangerous during heavy/pouring rain, when losing wiper function eliminates my ability to see the road ahead. I have brought the vehicle to Freehold Hyundai ([XXX] [XXX]) eight separate times for this same defect: - XXX (3,954 mi): reported, dealer could not verify, no action - XXX (8,620 mi): reported, dealer could not verify, no action - XXX (9,335 mi): reported, dealer could not verify, no action - XXX (15,748 mi): reported, dealer checked wipers, reported "operating normal" - XXX (48,329 mi): both front wipers not operating normally, windshield linkage flagged as cause - XXX (48,901 mi): wiper arm found bent; arm and linkage replaced - XXX (53,512 mi): noise from wipers, factory wipers recommended - XXX (55,843 mi): wiper arm moving slow and stopping mid-stroke; technician found high electrical resistance in the wiper motor cond internal/electrical failure, but the defect continues to occur. I have video documentation of the wipers freezing while driving in the rain. This is an ongoing, unresolved safety hazard. The vehicle brakes malfunctioned while driving over bumpy pavement in a parking lot. There was a loss of ability to stop the vehicle, the breaks seemed locked or ineffective. This cause me to come close to rear ending the vehicle in front of me. My foot was pushed FIRMLY on the break and the vehicle seemed to continue to lurch forward. The collision warning alarm was sounding and the brake pedal was vibrating.

The vehicle's OEM wiring harness caught fire during standard operation. We had just started our drive connected to a trailer and break controller that functioned flawlessly for a year with a different vehicle prior to this incident. The trailer is a 2025 and the brake controller was new at the time of purchasing the trailer in February 2025. the only thing that prevented further damage was my husband calling to say something was smoking and I needed to stop the car. I was driving to pickup my husband and children from the campground bath house to drive home. Yes, it is available for inspection. The safety of myself and any passengers was put at risk due to the electrical fire and all extenuating risks associated with that. The problem has not been reproduced by the manufacturer that I am aware of. The tech at the dealership verbally confirmed that the part in question was the cause of the fire and that the new (post repair) part did not have a secure 7way plug attachment to the break controller which was also brand new since the original was damaged during the incident. The components have been inspected by the dealership. There were no lights prior to the failure and there were no lights after the failure until the new temporary harness was installed in Slade KY prior to receiving and installing the new (same) OEM part once we returned home.

Windshield accumulated a lot of pitting in a certain area while driving within the first 27,000 miles. Noticed this after washing wind shield of bugs. One pit expanded to a 1/2 inch crack when turning into the driveway, just off the drivers side lower edge. It later expanded to the edge and and half way across the windshield.

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
ENGINE
Certain 2020 – 2025 model year Palisade vehicles may exhibit engine oil leakage at the engine oil filter housing assembly due to deterioration of the housing seal. At Hyundai, we are committed to providing vehicles of outstanding quality and value. In an effort to meet this commitment, the warranty coverage for the Engine Oil Filter Housing Seal under these conditions has been extended to 15 years/180,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for original and subsequent owners.
SUSPENSION
Certain 2020 – 2024 model year Palisade vehicles may exhibit a clunking or thumping noise from the rear of the vehicle while driving over rough roads. This may be caused by worn rear self-leveling shock absorbers. At Hyundai, we are committed to providing vehicles of outstanding quality and value. In an effort to meet this commitment, Hyundai is extending warranty coverage for the self-leveling rear shock absorbers under this condition to 10 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use and is valid for original and subsequent owners.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Some Palisade (LX2) vehicles may display a “Check forward safety systems” warning message on the cluster along with DTC C272246, due to the front view camera calibration range being exceeded. This bulletin provides instructions to replace the front view camera when this DTC is active.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Some Palisade (LX2), Tucson (NX4), and Tucson Hybrid (NX4 HEV) vehicles may experience battery drain due to continuous operation of the cooling fan after vehicle ignition has been turned off, potentially resulting in a no-start condition. The continuous cooling fan operation is caused by a stuck relay in the engine room PCB block. This bulletin provides instructions to replace the engine room PCB block to ensure the proper operation of the cooling fan.
SUSPENSION
Certain Palisade (LX2) vehicles may exhibit a clunking or thumping noise from the rear of the vehicle while driving over rough roads. This may be caused by worn self-leveling rear shock absorbers. Hyundai is extending the warranty coverage for the self-leveling rear shock absorbers to 10 years/120,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for original and subsequent owners. Follow the procedure in the bulletin to identify the source of the noise, and if necessary, replace one or both self-leveling rear shock absorbers. Please note that for the first repair, replacement of both rear shock absorbers will be covered by this warranty extension. For subsequent repairs, one or both rear shock absorbers will be covered depending upon the impacted side(s).
SUSPENSION
Some Palisade (LX2) vehicles may produce noise from AWD coupling vibrations when making turns caused by a logic error with the All Wheel Drive Electronic Control Unit (AWD ECU). This bulletin provides instructions to update the AWD ECU to reduce the coupling noise.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
