TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 KEYSTONE SPRINGDALE. THE VEHICLE HAS A DOMETIC REFRIGERATOR, MODEL RM2652. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR HER DOMETIC REFRIGERATOR, BUT DID NOT CALL THE MANUFACTURER AT THAT TIME. WEEKS LATER, SHE WENT INTO HER VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT EVERYTHING IN THE REFRIGERATOR HAD BEEN RUINED; HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO LEAK. SHE CALLED A FEW RV SERVICE DEPARTMENTS IN HER AREA AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL. THE CONTACT FOUND THE RECALL NOTICE SHE RECEIVED EARLIER AND CALLED DOMETIC. DOMETIC STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THE REFRIGERATOR BECAUSE THEY WERE CURRENTLY ONLY INSTALLING THE FIRE PREVENTION KITS. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE PART NUMBER AND RECALL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 60. UPDATED 11/17/08 *BF UPDATED 11/18/08. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
