Ongoing battery and or electrical issues. Replace battery 3 times in 2 years. Car loses power. Replace Body Control module, tail gate lock. Car was in repair for 2 months and Never told an exact reason except there is an electrical gremlin. Dealer and manufacture could not determine cause. I have videos. Dealer was not interested in viewing. Only doing the scheduled service. Which did not fix or work as intended.

On 4/26/2026 My vehicle experienced hybrid system failure, electrical failure, charging system failure, loss of drive power, electrical shutdown, and loss of exterior lighting at a busy intersection, while at a red light. My vehicle had to be towed and was confirmed by the Range Rover dealership as a DC-DC converter failure. My 73 yr old mother and I had to get out and direct traffic for over two hours, to keep my vehicle from getting hit or us being seriously injured, until a wrecker arrived. I had previously took my vehicle to two dealerships, when I had a light to come on. They told me to keep driving until they researched the problem and that my vehicle would not leave me on side of the road. Approximately 2 weeks later is when it displayed another warning light, right before shutting off completely on the above date and having me stopped, not on the side of the road, but worse, at a red light busy intersection off a highway ramp. I found out by the dealership that my vehicle issue is part of an active DC/DC converter recall. My husband and I had to pay for the costly repairs, towing and have been out of a vehicle, with no loaner for over a month. I am requesting a "recall reimbursement”,“goodwill reimbursement” and “pre-remedy reimbursement eligibility."

The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover. The vehicle was exhibiting jerking motion. Fuel was noticed on the ground. The check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that Fuel was being ejected from the exhaust. The vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the contact stated that the manufacturer stated there was a recall on the vehicle; however the repair is being charged at the owners expense. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

In march 2036 my car just completely stopped in 5pm traffic and I was almost hit over a dozen times car wouldn’t albe to be moved because it completed died out. When I took it to JLR had to have it towed twice . They said it was the battery and that it needed to be calibrated, sent me home and same day car stalled again in a busy traffic, this time they said it was my alternator and that my own system was shorted out, and they had to replace the alternator. Wants to charge me $4k , then I get a call saying it’s the DC Dc Converter and it’s shorted out my electric system and alternator! Don’t know I’what to believe ! Before my car died it first said charging. Battery low and died out while I was getting Dutch bros but started up right away, two days later I got the warning lights all flashing and then died completely

On March 5, 2026, while I and my 2 passengers were traveling on the 405 Freeway at approximately 40–50 mph, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic total loss of power. The engine shut off and all electronic systems failed simultaneously, including the instrument cluster and all interior lighting. Most critically, the hazard lights were inoperable, leaving the vehicle invisible to high-speed traffic during the failure. Since I was traveling at highway speeds I was able to safely glide the vehicle to the center shoulder. After approximately 10–15 minutes, the dashboard, infotainment, and climate control systems began flickering intermittently before power temporarily returned. Upon attempting to re-enter traffic to reach an exit, the vehicle stalled a second time while in motion. I returned to the shoulder again. After another 10 minutes the vehicle started and I was eventually able to exit the freeway and reach my residence. The following morning, the vehicle was completely unresponsive and would not start. It was towed to Land Rover Santa Monica dealership on March 6, 2026, where it currently remains for diagnosis and repair. This incident on the 405 freeway marks the third occurrence of a total loss of propulsion and electrical failure while the vehicle was in motion. Despite previous repair attempts, the defect persists, rendering the vehicle fundamentally unsafe for operation. I am gravely concerned for my personal safety, as well as the safety of other motorists on public streets and highways. A vehicle that spontaneously stalls at high speeds—while simultaneously losing the ability to activate hazard lights—presents an unacceptable risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. Given that this is a recurring, catastrophic safety failure, I am requesting an immediate and permanent resolution, as the vehicle in its current state is a liability to public safety and unsafe to be driven by me or anyone.

A fire started under the hood roughly 15 minutes after we drove it and parked it. Smoke could be seen 1st, then the fire. Not sure what starter the fire. The vehicle was parked 3 ft from my house, which could’ve caught my house on fire, luckily it wasn’t parked in my garage. The incident has not been yet reproduced or confirmed by an independent service center, manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure

Windshield has water leaking into the inside of the car with water running out of the bottom of both front seat doors when it rains and now has severe condensation on the inside front windshield that is soaking wet. Water is pooling on the inside of both doors when opened. Very wet. Most likely a sealant fail

CAR STALLS TURNS OFF AT A COMPLETE STOP. IN ORDER TO MAKE IT TURN BACK ON YOU WILL HAVE TO TURN OFF AND TURN BACK ON. AT THE TIME OF IT HAPPENING YOU HAVE NO LIGHTS SO IT MAKES IT EASY FOR SOMEONE TO REAR END YOU. IF THIS HAPPENS IN THE HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC IT MIGHT KILL SOMEONE.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) battery enters an offline state and no longer communicates or functions as intended. This can result in illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ,loss of start/stop functionality and no communication during diagnostic sessions.
Body Control Module (BCM) does not fully meet US importation requirements. The BCM requires replacement with a new component which fully meets the US importation requirements.
