Vehicle has a known defect in which a safety module is faulty in it that disables all safety features in the vehicle. Nissan has been very defensive in addressing less, despite the fact of acceptance that it is a known defect that is putting peoples lives at risk

I purchased a 2026 Nissan Armada on January 22, 2026. The component/system that failed is the In-Vehicle Infotainment system, also referred to in Nissan’s recall documentation as the IVI system, along with the rearview camera, surround-view camera display, parking/safety grid lines, infotainment wiring/harness components, and related interconnected electronic and drivetrain control systems. The vehicle, repair records, recall/campaign documents, Nissan Consumer Affairs correspondence, and related evidence are available for inspection upon request. This defect is directly related to NHTSA Recall 25V-821 / Nissan IVI reprogram campaign R25D5/R25D6 for certain 2025–2026 Nissan Armada and Murano vehicles. Nissan’s own recall notice states that the affected vehicles may fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111, “Rear Visibility.” The recall notice states that, under certain circumstances at vehicle start-up, the In-Vehicle Infotainment system may enter a power-saving mode, causing the IVI display to stop functioning and resulting in a blank screen. Nissan’s notice further states this condition can cause the rear-view image to be blank even when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, and that the loss of the rear-view image during backing may increase the risk of a crash or injury to a person behind the vehicle. The defect in my vehicle is not isolated to the display screen only. Based on my direct experience while operating the vehicle, the infotainment/IVI defect appears to be interconnected with other vehicle systems and has also caused the vehicle to lose power and lock itself into 4-wheel drive/all-wheel drive mode on its own while being driven. This creates a serious safety risk because the vehicle can unexpectedly lose normal operating power, change drivetrain behavior without driver command, impair driver control, and create a roadway hazard during active operation. I am reporting recurring failures involving the vehicle's electronic control systems. These issues have been documented with the dealership on multiple occasions and a Nissan District Technical Service Manager (DTSM) has also inspected the vehicle. Nissan has not been able to replicate the issues as they are intermittent. Braking System: When sitting at a stop light, where I had my foot on the brake, I heard a pump/whooshing sound from the front of the vehicle while the brake pedal suddenly traveled to the floor. On two separate occasions, the pedal has also become rock-hard. The Nissan DTSM was not able to replicate and suggested that the brake pedal becoming hard or going to the floor is "normal", and that my car showed no codes, and there was no recommended action required--that as long as the vehicle stopped, it was not a problem. After the DTSM inspected the vehicle, the brake pedal went fully to the floor five consecutive times while backing out of a parking space. I heard the same pump/whooshing sound from the front of the vehicle. Because I was backing up slowly, and the brake pedal was not responding to me given it was going fully to the floor, it was unclear how much braking power I truly had. The pump continued to make noise as the first few times I pressed the brakes driving away. Engine/Transmission: When the gas pedal is released, the engine intermittently continues to rev, and not respond to throttle input as designed, requiring the use of the brake to force a shift. But, Nissan stated they are aware that there is "general dissatisfaction" with the transmission overall, and suggested I wait for a future software update in the hopes that it may address some of the concerns. Electrical/Integrated Components: Failures include side mirrors failing to open or lock into position when driving. Audio/Nav system: Once when driving in an unfamiliar area, the audio/sound went out, with no turn by turn (or radio) sound at all, forcing me to watch the screen.

The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the infotainment center independently blinked on and off. The rear-view camera displayed an error message of the rear wheels. The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving forward or while reversing. Additionally, the transmission was sluggish. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failure of the radio. The contact was informed that an unknown recall was performed prior to the contact purchasing the vehicle. The contact was informed that the recall repair was improperly performed and had caused the failure of the AWD system. The contact was informed that a software update was needed, and the AWD system needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The failure reoccurred while out of state on a work assignment. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.

Brand‑new 2026 Nissan Armada suffered catastrophic engine failure at under 5,000 miles. Fault codes P21A1, P0019, P0326, and P219C were identified by an ASE Master Technician. Technician warned of internal mechanical failure and a risk of fire or explosion. Vehicle became undriveable and was towed to the dealership. Technician instructed that the engine should not be started due to safety risk.

The windshield is covered in hundreds of microscopic, pen-sized indentations that refract light like diamonds when hit by the sun or a flashlight. This creates a dangerous "white-out" effect, blinding the driver and making the vehicle unsafe to operate during the day.This is not a single impact from a road projectile; it is a systemic failure of the glass surface to withstand basic atmospheric conditions (sand and dust). A vehicle designed for "travel" must have glass capable of withstanding the friction of air and dust. If everyday travel causes the glass to disintegrate into a "glitter" field, the glass is defective. Filing an insurance claim to install the same defective OEM glass does not solve the problem. I am requesting that Nissan replaces this windshield with a properly tempered unit that meets safety and durability standards. The dealership has seen the "diamond" effect under a flashlight and acknowledged how severe it is. It’s hard to get good pictures of a windshield but after taking it to the dealership for them to send pictures to the executive company, they should have good pictures uploaded, but here’s what I have

HINT: Certification Label = FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) label. These items may be available from Nissan by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletin lists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. · The “VIN Plate/Label” (metal plate or vinyl label) is attached to the instrument panel or body on the driver side at the base of the windshield (see Figure 1). · The “Certification Label” (vinyl adhesive label) is located on the lower area of the driver side B-Pillar (see Figure 1).

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
FUEL FILLER TUBE LOWER SEAL IS LEAKING AND DTC P0456 IS STORED IN THE ECM IF YOU CONFIRM The vehicle has a visible leak with a smoke machine test coming from the fuel filler tube lower seal, AND DTC P0456 is stored as “Active”, “Past”, or “Pending” in the ECM. ACTION 1. Remove the supplied funnel from the rear of the vehicle or trunk. 2. Insert the funnel completely in the fuel filler tube and remove completely five (5) times. 3. Re-check the fuel filler tube lower seal with a smoke machine to determine visually if any leak is present. 4. If the fuel filler lower seal continues to leak, replace the fuel filler tube. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

VENT CONTROL VALVE IN ACTIVE TEST INOPERATIVE IN CONSULT 4 SERVICE INFORMATION An issue in CONSULT 4 has been identified in “EVAP system close” in Work support. · After selecting the "EVAP system close" in Work support, the “VENT CONTROL/V” in Active test becomes non-functional temporarily. · When selecting “EVAP system close” operation in Work support, wait 10 minutes before starting “VENT CONTROL/V” Active test or cycle the IGN switch ON/OFF for “VENT CONTROL/V” Active test to be operational. HINT: This bulletin applies to model years that use CONSULT 4 only.

DOOR MIRROR REVERSE TILT-DOWN FEATURE NOT WORKING PROPERLY SERVICE INFORMATION If the customer states that the door mirror tilt position does not return to the set memory position when shifting from Reverse to Drive or from Drive to Reverse, replace the SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW, MAIN (Main Power Window Switch). IMPORTANT: · Do not replace the BODY - DOOR MIRROR (Door Mirror) for this issue. · Do not use the EPC to determine the service part number for the Main Power Window Switch. Use the part number listed in the PARTS INFORMATION.
