2025 Volvo XC60

was on interstate I-95 8:00am doing speed limit when car soundly reduces speed to zero and had to maneuver over four lanes of traffic to avoid death i am also disabled and have a permanit disabled license plate. the car light stated engine failure lights and only after almost dieing was able to put on hazard and car would not idle past 10MPH while vibrating and jolting causing excruciating pain

Both rear original-equipment tires on a 2025 Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid (bought new mid-2025, approx. 20,000 miles) have developed bulges on the outer sidewall just below the tread shoulder. Tires are Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season, size 255/40 R21 102V, Volvo-specification (VOL / PNCS). Driver-side rear: DOT 1XB RM582P 0325. Passenger-side rear: DOT 1XB RM582P 0325. Both failed tires are from the same production week (week 03 of 2025) and have failed in the same location in the same way. The two front tires (DOT 0325 and 0225) show no bulges. The driver-side rear bulge was first noticed in June 2026. The vehicle was inspected at a Volvo dealer on 09/10/2026; the dealer did not identify the passenger-side rear bulge, which the owner found the following day on close inspection. No known pothole, curb, or road-debris impact to either rear tire; the wheels have only minor cosmetic parking scuffs on the rim lips. Passenger-side rear tread depth is 4/32 in. A sidewall bulge indicates internal cord separation and risk of sudden tire failure at speed. The tires are still mounted and available for inspection. A Pirelli original-equipment warranty claim is being filed through the Volvo dealer; no manufacturer (Pirelli) inspection has occurred yet. No warning lights or prior symptoms. NHTSA already has complaints on file for this tire on the XC60, including a sidewall bulge at low mileage on a 2026 XC60.

It appears, that due to a production defect, the right and left rear driver and passenger side windows are permanently fogged up making it difficult to see when driving. I have seen other reports that make the same observation, , but there apparently is no safety or production recalls by Volvo. This is definitely a production and a safety issue!

While parking our Volvo in the parking lot of Trader Joe's grocery store on [XXX], the Volvo suddenly accelerated and collided with the adjacent car in the next parking slip and rammed the car in the forward parking slip pushing about 15 to 20 feet ahead. Luckily, nobody was hurt though it could have been a disaster is someone was standing there near either of the other two cars. No one other than the auto body shop has inspected the car. The police came but did not write up a report because it was on private property and there were no injuries. Nothing on the instrument panel then or now shows any indication of a malfunction. My wife was parking our Volvo 2026 XC60 in a parking slot at our local grocery store. Upon pulling into the slot, the car suddenly accelerated and surged forward colliding with the car in the next parking slot and the car in the parking slot directly in front of her. She jammed on the brakes as hard as she could causing the tires to screech. The impact was great enough to shove the car in front of her out into the open isle in front. Luckily, no body was hurt. This could have been a deadly disaster if there were pedestrian near by at the moment of impact. The police came but did not write up an accident report since it was on private property and no one was hurt.

The contact owns a 2025 Volvo XC60. The contact stated that while his wife was pulling into a parking space slowly, the vehicle independently accelerated, causing the vehicle to sideswipe a vehicle nearby on the driver’s side of the vehicle and then rear-end another vehicle before coming to a complete stop. The vehicle stopped and was turned off. There was no property damage reported. There were no air bags deployed. The vehicle was not towed and was deemed inoperable. No warning lights were illuminated prior to the failure. A Police report was not filed. No injuries were reported. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 19,000.

Volvo 2025 XC60 T8. Rear liftgate closed without request nearly causing an eye injury. The liftgate was open, I was moving back and forth emptying packages from the cargo area. I turned to return to the car and the liftgate had started to come down (unrequested. I had NOT pushed the physical button on the liftgate or on the key fob). My eye was within 2 in of hitting the corner of the liftgate. I am taking the car to the dealer to report the incident. I do not see any active recalls posted for this safety issue.

In the four months that I have owned this car, the following issues have occurred and have not been resolved: - Google Maps suddenly stopped working while navigating while I was driving on multiple occasions. - Bluetooth connectivity will disconnect suddenly and not reconnect - All audio in the car has stopped since 7/2/26. This includes turn signals, safety alerts, cross traffic alert. This has happened on at least 4 separate occasions (lasting 2 days or more) and usually resolves, but this has persisted. I have called the service department each time and been told there is nothing they can do about it and that I have to wait for a software update. I updated the software on 6/15/26 and the problem seems to have gotten worse. - Backup camera intermittently does not work and screen is black - Radio will freeze on station. Audio will change but screen will not. - Climate control does not work on auto. Fan will not adjust based on temperature, has to be adjusted manually even in auto mode. I am concerned for my safety and the safety of my children when driving in this vehicle. The electrical system has proven to be unpredictable, and my research has shown that this is not an isolated issue. The vehicle has been at a Volvo service center 3 times for this same issue and continues to have the same unresolved problems. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to the system malfunctioning, it happens while I am driving. This poses a hazard to me and to the people driving around me.
