The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Service Body, Aerial Device, Pressure Digger, Spray Truck, and Digger Derrick vehicles. The low tire pressure rating printed on the final stage certification label is incorrect.
The risk: An incorrect pressure rating may lead to underinflated tires, increasing the risk of a tire blowout or a crash.
The remedy: Altec will inspect and replace the incorrect certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3294.

The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device and Digger Derrick vehicles. The electronic taillight module harness may have inadequate circuit protection.
The risk: Wiring without adequate protection may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Altec will provide instructions on inspecting and updating the circuit as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 13, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832.

The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device, 2022-2024 Forestry Body, 2022-2025 Service Body, and 2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the vehicle certification label may be incorrect, leading to the vehicle being unintentionally overloaded.
The risk: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Altec will inspect and replace the labels as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN CSN-3251.

SUSPENSION

Altec has discovered that certain AT37/41/48 units on small duty Ford and Dodge chassis, built from December 2017 to May 2025 have the potential for the subbase mounting bolts to contact the chassis suspension components or SuperSpring®. This potential contact is not an impact to the safety of this unit.

STRUCTURE:BODY

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Ford Motor Company that certain 2017-2025 F-450 – F-600 Chassis Cab upfitted with an Aerial Bucket Second Unit Body (SUB) could have a condition related to the operation or customer satisfaction of the unit when equipped with an Altec aerial device. If the vehicle is upfitted with an Aerial Bucket Second Unit Body (SUB), the SUB may cause stress on the frame rail during use, which might lead to cracks in the frame rail.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Altec Industries, Inc. has been notified of a condition affecting certain International HV, HX, eMV, CV, LT, RH, LoneStar, and MV Series trucks equipped with Altec equipment. Outdated Body Control Module (BCM) software may generate erroneous fault codes after the vehicle has been inactive for two to three days.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Ford that windshield wiper arms may become stripped or damaged, creating a risk to motor vehicle safety in certain 2022-2023 Super Duty vehicles equipped with Altec equipment. This damage might result in erratic wiper arm speed, an inoperable wiper arm, or a wiper arm becoming detached from the vehicle. An improperly functioning wiper arm may impair driver vision, increasing the risk of a crash. Parts are not available.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES

Altec Industries has been notified that International Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019-2025 CV® Series trucks built 1/11/2018 through 9/9/2024, with feature codes 0004198 and 0004240 (brake system, hydraulic with Hydromax brake booster), equipped with Altec equipment.

Altec has received notification from Parker Chelsea, the manufacturer, of an issue with some of their 281 and 890 Series PTOs. An unintended restriction in lubrication flow may produce elevated back pressure in cold-start scenarios, leading to partial engagement of the clutch. Once the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature, the clutch drag will abate. In extreme cases, repeated cold starts may result in clutch disk damage and failure to engage when activated.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
