FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: SENSING SYSTEM: RADAR

The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).
The risk: While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front end radar installation and if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 12, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3309.

The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Service Body, Aerial Device, Pressure Digger, Spray Truck, and Digger Derrick vehicles. The low tire pressure rating printed on the final stage certification label is incorrect.
The risk: An incorrect pressure rating may lead to underinflated tires, increasing the risk of a tire blowout or a crash.
The remedy: Altec will inspect and replace the incorrect certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3294.

The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device and Digger Derrick vehicles. The electronic taillight module harness may have inadequate circuit protection.
The risk: Wiring without adequate protection may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Altec will provide instructions on inspecting and updating the circuit as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 13, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832.

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from FCA US LLC that certain 2025-2026 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 cab chassis vehicles with 6.7L engines equipped with Altec equipment may contain an engine emissions-related defect that could affect emissions compliance or motor vehicle safety.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Altec Industries, Inc. has been notified of a condition affecting certain International HV, HX, eMV, CV, LT, RH, LoneStar, and MV Series trucks equipped with Altec equipment. Outdated Body Control Module (BCM) software may generate erroneous fault codes after the vehicle has been inactive for two to three days.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES

Altec Industries has been notified that International Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019-2025 CV® Series trucks built 1/11/2018 through 9/9/2024, with feature codes 0004198 and 0004240 (brake system, hydraulic with Hydromax brake booster), equipped with Altec equipment.

SIL-3273

Altec has received notification from Parker Chelsea, the manufacturer, of an issue with some of their 281 and 890 Series PTOs. An unintended restriction in lubrication flow may produce elevated back pressure in cold-start scenarios, leading to partial engagement of the clutch. Once the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature, the clutch drag will abate. In extreme cases, repeated cold starts may result in clutch disk damage and failure to engage when activated.

POWER TRAIN

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) that certain 2020-2026 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, 122SD and Business Class M2 and Western Star 4700, 47X, 48X RHD and 49x vehicles equipped with an Altec aerial device or equipment could have fasteners in the axle clamp group that might not have been properly tightened and can loosen and fail. As a result, the axle could shift, leading to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from FCA US LLC that a condition exists that relates to motor vehicle safety and affects certain 2025 and 2026 model year (DP) Ram 4500/5500 Cab Chassis equipped with an Altec aerial device or equipment. On the potentially affected units the trailer tow module may experience a loss of trailer lighting and trailer brakes. The trailer turn signal will not flash when the vehicle turn signal lever is actuated and the trailer stop lights will not be activated upon application of the vehicle service brakes. In addition, if equipped, the trailer brakes will not function.
