The contact owns a 2023 Forest River Georgetown G7. The contact stated that while parked at the race track, the contact's daughter attempted to turn on the heating system, but it failed to turn on. A few seconds later, the heating unit suddenly caught fire. The contact immediately removed the plastic covering over the unit and put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. People nearby assisted with their fire extinguisher. The cover on top of the unit had to be removed to completely extinguish the fire. The fire department was called and assisted with ensuring the fire was completely extinguished. The contact and their daughter received burns to their hands, arms, and back. No medical attention was needed. A fire report was made. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop, where it remained. The contact had learned of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V771000 (Equipment); however, the RV had not been remedied. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

When parked and level at a campsite the windshield cracked from the bottom up. You can not feel the crack on the inside or outside of the glass and nothing hit it. The RV had been parked and leveled in the same exact spot for 9 days, when we woke up on day 10 the crack was there.

A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
This is a product service bulletin from Global Link concerning counterfeit keys for entry doors being sold on certain websites. Forest River is reporting as we are sharing with the dealer body.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
