THERE IS FUEL LEAKING FROM MY GAS CAP, EVERYTIME I FILL IT UP WITH GAS IT LEAKS OUT THE SIDE. IT'S BEEN RUINING MY PAINT ON THE INSIDE TOO. IT LEAKS WHEN I START DRIVING.

I AM A SENIOR. MY CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN THE GARAGE. MY CAR WILL NOT RUN. I HAVE 29440 MILES ON IT. THE LAST TIME IT RAN WAS SEPT 2011 .ALL THE MACHANICS SAY THE SAME THING IT IS A CHEVROLET PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE IGNITION AND SECURITY PROBLEM. IT CAN NOT BE FIXED. THE CHEVROLET DEALER TELLS ME IT WILL COST $500 TO LOOK AT AND ABOUT $2000. TO REPAIR, BUT NO GUARANTEE, MAYBE 30 DAYS THATS IT ON THAT TYPE OF PROBLEM.. THEY SAY IT IS BEST TO BUY A NEW CAR.I NEED A CAR BUT I AM LIVING OFF SS. WHAT CAN I DO ? HELP

HE COULD MOVE THE GEAR SHIFTER, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD STILL REMAIN IN PARK. HE CALLED THE DEALER AND A REPRESENTATIVE STATED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 92V154000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION), ALTHOUGH THE FAILURES WERE IDENTICAL. SOME V6 ENGINES MAY, ON A VERY INFREQUENT BASIS, HAVE AN OIL ODOR CONDITION THAT IS GENERALLY ENCOUNTERED AFTER THE ENGINE'S OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED.TYPICALLY THE ODOR LASTS APPROXIMATELY 1000 MILES AFTER THE CHANGE OF OIL AND THEN DOES NOT REAPPEAR UNTIL THE NEXT CHANGE OF OIL. *TT
