The defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Alpine and High Country Montana recreational trailers and 2018-2019 Avalanche and Montana recreational trailers equipped with cargo trays. The rivets that secure the stop bracket to the cargo tray may shear allowing the cargo tray to detach.
The risk: If the cargo tray detaches, the tray may hit someone, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Keystone RV has notified owners, and dealers will replace the affected fasteners, free of charge. The recall began March 26, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone RV's customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone RV's number for this recall is 19-347.

The defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Montana recreational trailers, models 3855BR and 3854BR. The adjustment bolt for the kitchen slide may be too long, allowing it to make contact with the tire while moving.
The risk: If the adjustment bolt contacts the tire, the tire may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Keystone had notified owners, and dealers will replace the adjustment bolt with a correct length adjustment bolt, and replace the dinette slide room adjustment mechanism, free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 19-341.

The defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Keystone Montana recreational trailers. The axles may have defective welds on the spindles, potentially resulting in a spindle and wheel assembly detaching from the axle.
The risk: If the spindle or wheel assembly detaches from the axle, it can affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the axle tag, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 14, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-342.

The contact owns a 2019 Keystone Montana. The contact stated while the RV was parked, the contact noticed that the side wall of the RV was bulging out. The contact stated that according to the Technical Service Bulletins Numbers: KSB210218 (inspection) and KSB180328V2 (Repairs), the failure was well known. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the hitch that was used was unapproved. Additionally, the contact was informed that he was not the original owner of the RV. No further information was available.

2019 MONTANA 5TH WHEEL. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SEVERAL SAFETY COMPLAINTS WITH VEHICLE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WERE TWO AWNING BREAKAGES, THE MOLDINGS FELL OUT,THE STAIRS WERE POORLY INSTALLED AND THE CHAIRS FELL APART, THE NAILS IN THE WINDOW STICK OUT. ALSO, THE HEATING/COOLING UNIT, FIREPLACE INSERT, AND TV ALL HAVE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE WATER INTAKE HOSE HAD NO PROPER INSULATED FITTINGS, THE AIR CONDITIONER FAILED, THERE WAS POOR FRAME WORK AROUND THE CUPBOARDS, AND THE BEDROOM DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. *JS

Do not assume this repair is covered by warranty. Not every unit listed requires a repair. Please read through the instructions start to finish before attempting the repair. This process describes the safe and proper procedure to repair any unit which experiences a crack at the bottom corner of a slideout at the gooseneck of a 5th wheel, opening the side wall to repair broken tube welds and add reinforcement. This technical service bulletin explains how to perform the repair. Please note: A sublet will be required for aluminum welding if you do not have that capability.

This is a Keystone Customer Satisfaction Campaign. Keystone RV has received a number of complaints about water accumulating (standing) inside the taillight(s) lens of certain 2019-2020 Montana Fifth Wheels. Keystone will replace the affected lights for units under warranty and for units up to six months from the date of this communication.

This is the repair instructions for KSB-191007. This process describes the repair where under certain temperature conditions the Norco slide cable system gearbox may leak oil/grease on the slide roof membrane. The KSB describes how to install a drip pan to prevent damage to the roof membrane, and make repairs if necessary.
