THE PETITIONS STATED THAT:WE REPRESENT THE OWNER OF A 1990 CHEVROLET CORVETTE WHICH, WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, SUDDENTLY, VIOLENTLY, AND UNEXPECTEDLY PULLS TO THE LEFT.THIS IS A INTERMITTENT DEFECT WHICH DOES NOT OCCUR WITH AN REGULARITY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION BECAME STUCK IN SECOND AND THIRD GEARS. THE KARTOW DEALER IN EAST JORDAN, MICHIGAN WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AS I WAS APPROACHING A TRAFFIC CIRCLE I STARTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES, THE ENGINE STARTED TO ACCELERATE. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AS HARD AS I COULD AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I TURNED THE OFF THE CAR AND IT STOPPED BUT AT THE SAME TIME I HIT THE BUMPER OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP ( AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH) THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED RESULTING IN HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE. AS MY CAR WAS ACCELERATING I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE AS HARD AS POSSIBLE BUT IT ONLY SLIGHTLY SLOWED THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING 10-15 MPH ENGINE STARTED TO REV, THEN ACCELERATED. DRIVER APPLIED BRAKE, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, BUT DID NOT STOP VEHICLE. CONSUMER HAD TO SHIFT TO PARK AFTER REARENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE. This Preliminary Information communicates to the dealer the process for downloading or updating operating software for the Tire Pressure Monitor, Active Fuel Injector tester, multi media tester, PICO Scope, GR8 starting/charging tester and Vehicle Data Recorder tools, giving website address and step by step instructions to complete the update.

This Preliminary Information communicates to the dealer the process for downloading or updating operating software for the Tire Pressure Monitor, Active Fuel Injector tester, multi media tester, PICO Scope, GR8 starting/charging tester and Vehicle Data Recorder tools, giving website address and step by step instructions to complete the update.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how to unlock radios that are Delco TheftLock. Technician will use the radio to get the scrambled code. Technician will need to contact the radio unlock center to retrieve the unlock code from the scrambled code. The PI update to version D is to advise the unlock procedure is temporarily unavailable. E version update is to add administrative details.
